Professional Eligibility Test. PET is an entrance examination conducted by FICPA Professionals Council for students intending to take the Indian CPA program. Professional eligibility test focuses on testing the core and basic knowledge of the students in Accounting, Business Gyan, Logical Reasoning, Business Laws, Communicative English.

This examination is conducted thrice a year, usually in April, August, and December. In addition, a professional Eligibility Test will also be conducted as interim PET whenever required, depending on the demand.

Students undergoing professional eligibility tests will have to have at least three to four months of study. They will be able to develop strong basics in Accounting, Business Gyan, Logical reasoning, etc., in order to make themselves ready to take up professional level streams.

Eligibility Criteria

Students either pursuing the 12th standard or completing the 12th standard can take up a professional eligibility test. However, the registration for the professional eligibility test can be taken up after completing the 10th standard. Study materials and online support will start as soon as the registration process completes.

Students can register for a professional eligibility test by logging into portal.indiancpa.org and clicking on the student registration button. Next, students must fill up the application for student registration by filling up all necessary fields. Then, finally, pay the registration fees shown on the page.

Also, students can take up—necessary help from authorized training partners of Indian CPA to complete their registrations.
